The Young and the Restless Tuesday, July 2 : Claire’s Alcohol Confession – Kyle Busted Working for Victor
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 2, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will join Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at the GCAC, where she’ll give him updates on her outpatient therapy and admit she doesn’t have a new sponsor yet.
However, Nikki will assure Jack that she plans to get one soon and will mention that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is fighting her return to work.
Jack will eventually spill the news about Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) firing Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so Nikki will be aghast over the tension getting that bad.
At the park, Victor will meet with Kyle and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) now that they’ve reached common ground.
Audra and Kyle will discuss plans for Glissade’s new press release about their leadership, but Victor will want his name kept out of it.
Kyle will admit he finds that odd and will ask plenty of questions, but Victor will act like he wants Glissade to succeed without tossing his name around.
Once Victor’s gone, Audra will scold Kyle for interrogating Victor, but Kyle will feel like Victor had a Jabot-related agenda when he hired him.
That said, Kyle won’t mind being Jabot’s competitor and will seem like he welcomes the idea of striking back against them.
At Crimson Lights, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will catch up with Diane, who’ll confess that she had to fire Kyle over his insubordination.
Diane will think it seems like Kyle already has a new job lined up, so Michael will suspect that has something to do with Victor.
Michael will end up telling Diane about Victor pushing him to rekindle his friendship with her and urging Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) to befriend Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), too.
It’ll lead to Diane realizing all this has something to do with Jack.
Diane will wonder if Michael is just pumping her for information because of Victor, but he’ll point out that he wouldn’t be blabbing to her if he wasn’t trustworthy.
Michael will suspect that he may have to step in and save Victor from himself.
Victor will appear while Diane and Michael are having this discussion, so he’ll join their table and try to get under Diane’s skin again.
There’ll be some talk about Kyle leaving Jabot since Victor will claim he heard it through his sources.
After Victor points out that he wants both Jack and Diane to wind up miserable and alone, he’ll suggest he won’t have to lift a finger for that to happen.
At the tack house, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will grow concerned when she finds out about Claire having dinner with Kyle tonight, especially since Claire will hint about the custody drama that could be brewing.
However, Claire will assure Victoria that there’s no need to worry – and while Claire’s gone, Cole will try to stop Victoria from worrying as well.
At Society, Kyle and Claire will talk about Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) wanting to change the custody agreement.
Although Summer’s having a harder time adjusting to Claire’s nanny role than Kyle had hoped, he’ll insist Claire’s job isn’t at risk.
Kyle will admit there’s another part to all this since Summer isn’t happy about him partnering up with Audra on a cosmetic company.
Claire will find out about Diane firing Kyle, so she’ll get why he had to move on.
That said, Claire will offer some advice and will point out that revenge is never worth it.
Kyle won’t view his new job as something vengeful and will want to celebrate with Champagne, so he’ll order some to share.
Claire will ultimately admit she doesn’t really drink other than a few sips here and there so people don’t get uncomfortable.
It turns out Jordan (Colleen Zenk) forbade it since she said it clouds your judgment, so Claire never really developed the habit or taste for it.
Claire will try the Champagne anyway when she toasts with Kyle, but he’ll be able to tell she isn’t really a fan.
Kyle will assure Claire that they’ll find her the perfect mocktail and will hope that they can do this again sometime, so Claire will admit she’d like that as they part ways.
Once Diane heads home, she’ll tell Jack about her conversation with Michael and Victor.
Diane will point out that Victor already knows about Kyle’s Jabot exit, so there’ll be suspicions about Kyle’s job prospect having something to do with Newman Enterprises.
When Kyle walks in on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Jack will demand to know what he’s up to with Victor Newman!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack and Kyle have another shouting match coming up, so we’ll bring you more predictions on their growing feud.
