Will’s return to The Bold and the Beautiful — and, of course, to parents Bill and Katie — has been a long time coming. Last seen four years ago in 2020 when he was played by Finnegan George, Will’s been MIA for some time. Now he’s coming back a bit older, thanks to daytime newbie Crew Morrow stepping into the part as of Thursday, August 1.
Timing wise, things are a bit awkward thanks to Bill having moved girlfriend Poppy and their grown daughter Luna into the family mansion. “Will feels 100 percent uncertainty,” Morrow tells us. “He went away to school and came home to a bunch of strangers in his house. They’re essentially a second family, and his father wants him to treat them like his first family!”
Needless to say, “that comes with a lot of angst,” adds the young actor, “and Will’s not ready to accept them like his father wants him to.”
Morrow — and yes, he’s the son of longtime Young & Restlesss leading man Joshua Morrow (Nick) — says that so far, he’s having “the best experience ever” at Bold & Beautiful. “I haven’t met a rotten person there yet, and I don’t think I ever will!”
While some might be intimidated by the thought of joining a long-running, wildly popular show, Morrow says, “I wasn’t nervous going on set,” but adds that he “was nervous at the audition!”
Interestingly enough, he hasn’t really seen much of his dad’s work on Young & Restless, aside from the special episode the soap did to mark the senior Morrow’s 30-year anniversary. “I’d love to see my dad on the show when he was younger, but I can’t find those older episodes anywhere!”
That said, “I grew up with my father being a soap opera actor, so I have much love and respect for everyone in this business.”
Now, as he settles into the new role, Morrow offers up a preview as to what we can expect. “Will has some swagger, that’s for certain,” he smiles. “He loves his family a lot, even if that love is strained at times. So there is a lot to play here!”
