The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ashley’s Autumn Return Brings Questions – Are Wild Alters Gone for Good?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the show’s been laying the groundwork for some fall storylines – including a big event that’ll bring one familiar face back to town.

Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) is looking forward to marrying Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), but she doesn’t want to tie the knot without her mom present.

Fortunately, Abby mentioned that Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) doctors are hopeful about her release this autumn.

Ashley has been receiving excellent care at a facility Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) recommended in France, so she should be well enough to come home in time for Abby and Devon’s November wedding.

Devon and Abby selected a date that would fit that fall timeframe so Ashley could be there.

Since November 13 is Abby’s birthday, that’ll make it extra special for her to get married on a day that’s already so celebratory.

Of course, Ashley will get a warm welcome home when she makes her return.

Both Y&R fans and Ashley’s loved ones will enjoy seeing her back in Genoa City at last.

However, Ashley’s homecoming could bring some questions about her mental state and whether she’s truly recovered from her dissociative identity disorder. Will Ashley’s alters really be gone for good?

This is a soap, so there’s always a chance that Ms. Abbott, Belle and Ash will pop up again at some point.

If there comes a time when Y&R needs another dose of wild drama, Ashley’s alters could stir up more trouble.

That said, it seems like Ashley is genuinely putting in the work to make a full recovery.

Ashley will hopefully be integrated and ready to tackle a healthy new chapter when she returns.

Naturally, there’ll be other questions for the show to answer – like what exactly caused Ashley’s DID in the first place.

Ashley apparently had some sort of childhood trauma that led to her developing alternate personalities.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) discussed the possibility that Ashley might’ve found out John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) wasn’t her bio dad far sooner than any of them realized.

That might’ve been enough to cause Ashley’s alters to first emerge, but it’s also possible there’s some other buried secret that caused the split and will ultimately be revealed.

Whatever the case, our predictions point to some mysteries unraveling this fall in GC, so we’ll bring you updates on all the shocking news ahead.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashley’s comeback will bring some surprises, so stay tuned.
