At Poppy’s old apartment, Luna builds a cage around Steffy, who starts to awaken after being drugged. Through bleary eyes she looks at the cordless screwdriver spinning. Her eyes close again. Luna snaps a padlock into place.
In Forrester’s main office, Ridge rants to Brooke about Hope kissing Finn. Brooke exclaims that she knows it was wrong and it won’t happen again. Ridge hollers about how upset Taylor was over what Hope did. Finn appears and says she wasn’t the only one. Steffy’s so upset about it that she’s gone. Ridge asks what that means. Finn says she’s left town. Ridge complains to Brooke, “See, this is what Hope did.” Finn shouts that she can’t just kiss him. He never saw it coming. One minute he was listening to Danny Romalotti, the next Hope’s lips were on him. That’s how little respect she has for his marriage. He rants that it’s unsettling not knowing where your wife is.
Finn tells Ridge he’ll always be truthful to his daughter, but he wishes he hadn’t had to tell her about the kiss. He rants that he should have listened to his wife and stayed away from Hope. Brooke protests that Hope isn’t like this… but she won’t make excuses for her. Finn insists he gave her no mixed signals. Now, he’s here wondering about his wife, and where she is…and whether she’s OK.
Katie walks into Bill’s place as he ends a phone call. She says she heard the news, “You don’t have a daughter anymore.” She explains that RJ told her. Bill’s glad Luna has him to talk to. He muses that he loved having a daughter, “And not just any daughter. Luna.” Katie knows this has been hard on him. He’s just worried about Luna, who’s lost everything. He’s determined to be there for her. Katie muses that if the accusations about Poppy are right, Luna’s probably going to have to visit her mother in jail. They debate whether Poppy is guilty. Katie doesn’t see who else it could be. She notices Bill is talking about Poppy in the past tense. “Does that mean she’s out of your life now?” Bill hasn’t made any decisions and is still trying to process. Katie thinks Will should know he no longer has a sister. Bill complains that Luna should have had a brother for support. “She’s the victim in all of this.”
In the apartment, Steffy hears the cordless screwdriver sound and tries to open her eyes and speak. She sees Luna, but can’t stay awake. Luna watches her as she continues working on the cage. Eventually, Steffy struggles to a sitting position and croaks, “Luna. Where am I? What happened?” Luna paces back in forth and stares at her.
At Bill’s place, he and Katie continue to go over Luna’s life unraveling. Bill wants her to know he’s there for her, especially if her mother goes to trial. Katie thinks it’s a case of “when”, not “if”. Luna will have to face that. Bill told her that his home is her home as long as she needs it. Katie points out that can’t go on forever. She hopes Luna realizes that. Bill says she needs support now. He’s sure she gets that from RJ too. Katie mentions that RJ told her that Luna said she really wants to be there with Bill. “She really loves you.” Bill flashes to Luna kissing him.
In the main office, Finn tells Ridge that Hope kissing him was the final straw for Steffy after dealing with the Sheila situation. He kept getting drawn in and letting Sheila get too close, “And then the same thing happens with Hope.” He let her get into his head and offered her a friendly shoulder. Hope made it into something else. That’s why Steffy warned him to stay away. Brooke knows they worried Hope was turning into her mother. Finn wishes he’d listened to her. He keeps putting himself in situations that undermine his wife’s faith in him. Ridge waves off his concerns. He thinks she’ll be back after she takes a moment. Finn knows she can take care of herself, but he doesn’t like not being there for Steffy if she needs him.
In the apartment, Steffy realizes she’s in a cage. Luna rants about how difficult it was to get it in there. Steffy groans that her head is throbbing. She realizes Luna drugged her with the iced tea. “Why? Why am I in cage? What are you doing to me?” She starts screaming and demanding to be let out as Luna smirks and shakes her head no.
At Bill’s place, Katie asks if there’s anything she can do for him. Bill says she’s already doing it by being there and showing him how much she cares. Katie reminds him they’re family. Bill thanks her for being his guardian angel. “It feels like the rug was pulled out from under me.” Katie says it was, but his family loves him. “Your sons… you’re so important to them.” Bill asks, “And you?” Katie smiles, “And me.” They embrace.
In the main office, Finn complains that he doesn’t know where Steffy went. Ridge is sure it will just be a few days. Finn hopes she realizes that he didn’t want any of this. He didn’t kiss Hope back because he loves his wife and family. He wants her to come back. “I love your daughter, Ridge. I miss her and I need to know that she’s alright, wherever she is.”
In the cage, Steffy screams, “Luna what the hell do you think you’re doing?! What are you doing?!” She remembers seeing her kissing Bill and coming there to confront her. Luna tells her she never should have done that. Steffy hollers that Bill is her daughter’s grandfather, does she really think she’d just let her get away with this. Luna screams that Bill’s the only person in the world who understands her. Steffy shouts that Bill is with her mother. Luna shrugs, “Not for long. Not after a jury finds her guilty.” Steffy realizes she wants her mother gone to have Bill for herself. Tom and Hollis are dead because of her, “You are not going to get away with this!!” Luna snaps, “I’ve gotten away with it so far. Yeah, I did it. It was me. I killed both Hollis and my deadbeat father Tom… and you aren’t telling a soul.” Steffy screams for help.
