The Bold and the Beautiful star Sean Kanan, aka Deacon Sharpe, is back to entertain viewers in a notorious fashion. Yep, the actor is bringing back “Bad Boy” Mike Barnes in the upcoming sixth season of Netflix’s “Cobra Kai.”
Kanan first set foot in the ‘karate’ universe in “The Karate Kid Part 3” back in 1989, playing a villain. However, Barnes evolved into a more sympathetic character in season 5 of “Cobra Kai. Sean Kanan Brings Mike Barnes Back to Life in Cobra Kai
According to Entertainment Weekly, The Bold and the Beautiful actor will be working in a team in the upcoming season. Kanan’s Mike Barnes will team up with senseis Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Moreover, the men are on a very interesting mission! They will pick students who will represent their unnamed dojo in the prestigious Sekai Taikai tournament. Kanan dropped some juicy details about his exciting comeback.
“Johnny and Daniel are both at odds about what to name the dojo and who should represent it,” he explains. Additionally, Daniel comes up with the brilliant idea of bringing in someone impartial. Sean added, “That’s when the big reveal happens – Mike Barnes is back to pick the team.”
Let us tell you that the B&B actor has been pushing for this return for a while. Sean only asked one question in interviews, “Who better to train these kids than Mike Barnes, a national champion?”
He added, “I did my best to plant the seed, and it finally paid off.” Now, fans must be wondering what to expect when Barnes is picking the students. The actor teased that his character made it very clear that this was going to be a baptism by fire. “Only the strongest will make it through the tests he sets up.
