In Connie’s mind, this is how she’ll get even with the woman she holds responsible for Li’s death. Little does she realize that she stabbed him. Gabi Falls Victim to Connie’s Revenge Plot?
Days of Our Lives spoilers can tell that Connie still holds Melinda captive, who desperately tries to free herself. She pleads with Connie to reconsider, but Connie is dead set on carrying out her sinister plan! Julie Dove, who plays Connie, said, “Gabi’s like the gold medal of this contest.” Moreover, the Days actress dishes on Connie’s warped sense of justice.
It tells her that avenging Li’s death matters, leading her to believe it’s all Gabi’s fault. Dove elaborated on Connie’s irrationality, “She’s acting out of frustration over how people treated Li and how Li treated her.” According to the character, Li would’ve loved her if Gabi, Stefan, and Melinda hadn’t interfered. Julie added, “So Gabi has become her number one enemy.”
As Connie sets her plan in motion, the tension builds as she tracks Gabi down. In addition, Dove described the scenes between Connie and Gabi as “incredibly emotional.” The villain genuinely likes Gabi in many ways. However, the whole situation with Li has pushed her over the edge. Dove explained, “It’s emotional and climactic because Connie’s been bottling up all this anger.”
The soap diva points out how Connie is shaking and prepared to unleash everything she’s been holding. Furthermore, the dramatic confrontation takes place at the iconic DiMera mansion, a set that Dove finds thrilling to work on. “Having this big showdown right below Stefano DiMera’s portrait felt amazing, especially as a fan of the show,” said Julie.
She felt her villainous instinct kicking in before the greatest villain in daytime television. As Connie leaves the mansion, she feels she has achieved what she set out to do. Dove teased, “All she has left is to deal with Ava and Stefan.” After that? She’ll have her nirvana moment, of course!
