Days of our Lives expects Xander Cook is about to face the most devastating blow of his life. As he plots to murder Brady Black, little does he know that his own mother, Fiona Cook, is the real culprit behind Sarah Horton‘s paralysis. The truth is set to explode, leaving Xander’s world in shambles.
Days of our Lives: Actors Drop Hints in Interviews
Days of our Lives cast give recent interviews and the actors involved in this gripping storyline dropped hints about what’s to come and how Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) might make Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) pay for her misdeeds. This week, Xander concocts a sinister plan to punish Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), unaware that Fiona is letting her bed buddy take the fall. Ironically, Fiona tries to protect Brady in her own way.
When Fiona realized Xander had taken the pinata bat to attack Brady, she rushed to intercept her son. Days of our Lives spoilers see Brady, consumed by guilt over Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) condition, stood ready to accept the brutal beating. Fiona managed to stop Xander by making a bizarre confession about sleeping with Brady, leaving her son stunned.
Despite this setback, Xander hasn’t given up on his quest for vengeance. Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) catches up with his brother and starts to get through to him. “Eric gets Brady to realize there’s more to this,” actor Eric Martsolf revealed in an interview with Michael Fairman. “Then he starts to think maybe I didn’t do this to Sarah, and that puts him on the path to the truth coming out.”
As Brady tries to unravel the mystery, Xander buys an untraceable gun and a knockout drug. Sarah begs Xander to leave Brady alone, but he refuses to listen. Xander’s plan involves drugging Brady and staging his death as a suicide. However, Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu) unexpected arrival foils his scheme, leaving Brady alive but groggy.
DOOL: Sarah Horton Tries Hypnosis
DOOL fans see that Sarah undergoes hypnosis with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to recover her memories of the accident.
Paul Telfer shared insights into his character’s mindset. “Xander would rather be angry than sad. When he deals with depressing or sad things, he tries to find something in it that will make him angry so he can focus on that and then try to smash it. Right now, it’s Brady that he’s trying to smash.”
Lindsey Godfrey discussed the challenges her character faces. “It’s hard because Xander dropped his guard and now he loves Fiona. Xander is letting her be a mommy to him,” she said, highlighting the little boy aspect of Xander’s character.
Days of our Lives will see Xander’s rage shift from Brady to his mother when the truth comes out. Paul Telfer joked, “Xander can’t smash his mom with a baseball bat like he tried to do to Brady.” Lindsey Godfrey praised Telfer’s performance, saying it’s his best work yet.
