Young And The Restless Spoilers: Chance Targets Heather – Is The Summance Romance On The Brink Of Collapse?
Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is officially back on the GCPD and heading up Heather Stevens’s (Vail Bloom) murder case.
He’s got some personal interest in this all. Not only did he date Heather, but he also happens to be the boyfriend of Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) sister, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). Chance could end up becoming the family’s hero; however, what if this case costs him his relationship?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor’s Conflicted Interest
Y&R spoilers remind fans that Heather isn’t Chance’s only ex in Genoa City. After all, he and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) also shared something special.
While Chance and Sharon did break up, they ended things on extremely good terms. Sharon knew Chance was at a different point in his life and wanted more from a relationship. She “let him go”, which allowed Chance to open the door to Summer, and their romance has been red hot.
There is a good chance that the cop will investigate and find out Sharon was at the scene of the crime when Heather died. If that happens, could Chance stall the police investigation to get to the bottom of things?
Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Newman Tells Chance Chancellor The Truth – Will He Compromise The Investigation For Her?
Sharon may tell Chance everything. Knowing she blacked out, and knowing her mental health issues, could he stall the investigation without telling anyone?
He may realize that while Sharon believes she killed Heather, someone could be behind it. He may come up with evidence that proves she’s not the killer, but also may not want to come forward just yet, as this would equal a prison sentence for Sharon.
Chance and Sharon may be exes, but they are also friends. It doesn’t help that Chance was so close to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). In an effort to honor his partner, he may feel as if he needs to hold back on things and not tell his boss at the GCPD about what he’s found out to help protect Sharon.
Still, while things may prove that Sharon is not the killer, how would Daniel and Summer feel knowing that Chance went to great lengths to “protect” his ex? After all she may not have killed Heather, but Sharon worked overtime to misdirect people about Heather’s death.
Not to mention she insensitively dumped Heather’s lifeless body into the river, instead of coming forward and easing Daniel and Lucy Romalotti’s (Lily Brooks O’Briant) minds.
On top of that, she played mind games by texting them (on behalf of Heather – and a ‘stranger’ who had Heather’s phone). This might be unforgiveable in their eyes – mental health issues or not.
The show’s been playing up how great of a guy Chance is, as of late: from his conversations with Daniel to his recent chat with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), where he wanted to make sure she had someone to talk to in the aftermath of Heather’s passing, after Summer left their conversation.
If Chance turns around and does something to “protect” Sharon, he could be jeopardizing his relationship with Sharon. Not to mention his job.
