Where Is James Scott Now? A Decade After His Explosive Exit from Days of Our Lives!

We know it’s tough to believe, but it has, indeed, been a full decade since James Scott exited Days of Our Lives after eight years as Stefano’s (arguably) favored son, EJ. At the time, we thought EJ had died, but a few years later we learned he was alive after all, and a few years after that he made his grand return with a new face, but the same bad boy attitude!
Scott, thought, did not return, with, as we all know, Dan Feurriegel picking up the role in 2021. After Days of Our Lives, Scott popped up in primetime on the short-lived shows, Private Eyes and Wrecked. And then, that was it for his time in Hollywood. For good, apparently. That’s something he made abundantly clear back in 2020 when a fan commented on an Instagram post how much she loved and missed Sami and EJ.
“Please know,” he wrote in response after thanking his fan, “that I will never. Never. Never. Never. Never. Go back to Hollywood, let alone [Days of Our Lives]. There is nothing interesting there for me.”
And we’re inclined to believe him. After his stint as an actor, Scott started a life coaching business and website called The Whisper Within. It came about, he noted at the time, after feeling an emptiness inside, despite all of his work as an actor seeking success and celebrity status. He went to a meditation center in India, found a new sense of self and purpose and wanted to pay it forward to others.
Since then, Scott has continued to stay away from Hollywood and the soap opera world, though his web page and Instagram page have since been taken down. He’s maintained a low profile since then, but we hope the inner peace he found continues to this day, and whatever Scott is tackling is filling him with the happiness that seems to have eluded him as an actor.
