Kelly Monaco Drops Bombshell on Unscripted Moment in General Hospital — Sam’s Final ‘I Love You’ Stuns Fans!
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans have been getting emotional during Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) farewell arc. Since Monaco was fired and written out, it’s been hard to watch these moments leading up to Sam’s inevitable demise.
In the October 24 episode, Sam shared some weepy scenes with her loved ones ahead of her surgery. As Sam was wheeled off to the operating room, she threw up her hand and signed “I love you” as she went around the corner.
That seemed more like a personal touch that Kelly Monaco chose to include on her own, so people started messaging her on X, formerly known as Twitter, for confirmation.
Fortunately, Monaco wrote a post to address the move, so let’s take a closer look at a recent social media exchange.
“Ok I really need to know if that ‘I love you’ sign was scripted or if @kellymonaco1 threw that in there for us,” one fan said while tagging Monaco.
“It was not scripted,” Monaco replied before adding a kiss-throwing emoji.
In other words, this was indeed something Kelly Monaco decided to add in herself. Knowing that certainly ramps up the emotions of Sam’s departure and everything that’s been playing out on-screen.
As for what’s ahead, Sam’s loved ones will have to face the heartbreak of losing her following this transplant.
Since Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) didn’t show up at the hospital to support Sam, our predictions say that decision will haunt them in the coming weeks.
Kristina and Molly’s final scene with Sam brought conflict instead of the family unity Sam wanted, so that’s something her sisters will have to live with.
Of course, even those who gathered at GH – including Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) – will struggle with plenty of tears.
Danny and Scout were able to tell Sam they loved her one last time before she headed to the OR, so at least they’ll have that to cling to when heartbreak hits.
