The Young and the Restless: Eric Braeden’s Emotional Tears Over Newman Ranch Rebuild – Victor’s Heartfelt Surprise for Nikki Revealed!
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the show’s gearing up for a major milestone that’s certainly worth celebrating. Y&R will air its 13,000th episode on November 13, which is also Abby Newman-Abbott’s (Melissa Ordway) birthday and the wedding date she’s selected with Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James).
Of course, there’s been a lot of talk about the secret venue for Devon and Abby’s nuptials. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is keeping a tight lid on the location of this marriage ceremony, but there’s a good reason why.
It turns out Victor has been cooking up a huge surprise for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Victor is secretly having their original home rebuilt, which is why he’s been so reluctant to spill anything to Abby.
If Victor admitted that’s where he plans for Abby and Devon to wed, then it would spoil the fun of giving Nikki this unexpected, wonderful gift.
We won’t ask too many questions about how Nikki managed to avoid seeing construction on the Newman property. The ranch is pretty ginormous, so we’ll just assume Victor was able to keep her off that particular patch of land.
Whatever the case, Victor will show off the finished house with a big reveal on November 8 according to Deadline. We’ll see Victor unveil his amazing present, which Nikki will be over the moon about.
That’ll set the stage for Devon and Abby to have the wedding of their dreams, so we have no doubt that Abby will gush over it being the perfect location.
As for Eric Braeden, he admitted he cried when he sat on the rebuilt Newman ranch after it was completed. The old set was discarded after Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) burned down the original home in 2012, but Braeden clearly approves of the recreation.
“So I came in and I sat there and I said, ‘Wow.’ I was actually moved to tears because it was so long coming, you know?” Eric Braeden said in Deadline’s behind-the-scenes video.
Melody Thomas Scott could also be seen getting weepy in the clip since she’s wanted the set back for so long. It’s clear that both Braeden and Scott are feeling grateful about how the show’s choosing to honor Y&R history.
