It looks like The Young and the Restless’ Michael Damian (Danny) isn’t the only one who gets to “Rock On” on The Bold and the Beautiful! The fashionable CBS sudser is also welcoming a real-life rock star for a quick appearance and on-air performance: Jökull Júliusson of the Icelandic alternative/blues rock band, Kaleo!

Per our sister site Deadline, Júliusson is currently shooting scenes for Bold & Beautiful set to air September 27, which will include a performance of Kaleo’s 2015 hit, “Way Down We Go.” American fans are likely most familiar with that song which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs and Rock Airplay charts and, for a time, was featured in nearly every primetime show on TV.

Have a listen below — we’re pretty sure you’ve heard it somewhere!

Júliusson apparently met executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell at an Andrea Bocelli concert, which is when he was invited to appear and perform on Bold & Beautiful. And, of course, Bocelli himself also performed on the show last summer when the cast and crew visited Rome to film.

As you probably guessed by the fact that Júliusson is performing one of his band’s own songs, the musician will also, like Bocelli, be playing himself. There’s no word yet on how he’ll be worked into the story, but fashion and music have long gone together, as Bold & Beautiful has embraced countless times over the years.

And while Kaleo didn’t receive a Grammy nod for “Way Down We Go,” they did receive one in 2017 for Best Rock Performance of their song, “No Good.”

Júliusson wouldn’t be the first Grammy nominated artist on the sudser as just last April, Lil Nas X who’s been nominated for a number of Grammys and won two back in 2020, made an appearance on the show. Nax X, though, didn’t perform as he and late night talk show host James Corden just made brief, but hilarious appearances as Il Giardino waiters.
