In the apartment, Luna tells Steffy she’s protecting herself. “You know too much,” she exclaims. She killed Tom and Hollis and no one is going to find out! Steffy screams bloody murder for someone to help her and rattles the cage. Luna calmly says that no one is going to hear her. The building is set to be demolished and everyone’s moved out. Steffy hollers that she has to get back to Finn and her kids. Luna says, “No, Steffy. You’re not going anywhere.”
In his office, Finn flashes to Steffy telling him she’s leaving town and not to contact her. Liam appears and says, “Man, Finn, you really messed up. You and Hope? Really?” Finn asks why he came all the way over there. Did he want to give him a lecture. Liam can’t believe he and Hope kissed. “It’s no wonder Steffy left.”
Liam says this thing affects all of them. Finn says Hope kissed him, not the other way around. He’s made it clear that he’s not OK with what Hope did. Liam feels Hope wouldn’t do that and suggests Finn was sending mixed signals. She wouldn’t kiss him unless she thought he’d be OK with it. Finn says, “I wasn’t. And unlike you, Liam, I am and will always be, 100% committed to Steffy. And since I don’t know where she is or how long she’s going to be gone, she’s my only concern right now.”
Hope is flashing to kissing Finn when Brooke walks into the design office. Her mother asks, “Where were you just now? Or do I even want to know?” Hope sighs that it’s been a really, really long day. She’s trying her best to move past her feelings, but it’s difficult to do while under a microscope. Brooke states, “So, you were thinking about Finn.” Hope doesn’t want to be that woman, “Even if Steffy left Finn yet again.” Brooke tells her daughter that Steffy left town, not Finn or her marriage. Hope scoffs that she’s not working on it. She’s gone out of her way to punish Finn for something she did. Brooke narrows her eyes, “You’re not helping anyone by getting involved.” Hope wants to support Finn because she truly doesn’t think Steffy appreciates what a remarkable man he is.
In the apartment, Steffy questions if they ever knew Luna at all. She killed two men and now her mother is in jail for her crimes. Luna rants about how hard if was growing up with Poppy, who took drugs and jumped from man to man. Steffy says that doesn’t excuse what she’s done. Luna complains about Tom being her dad. She deserved better and had enough of life with those losers. Steffy muses, “So you targeted Bill.” Luna says she and Bill have a bond. Steffy says she’s not his kid. Luna argues they have a connection, “One that’s going to get stronger. Much stronger.”
In the design office, Brooke tells Hope she can’t talk this way about Steffy and Finn. He is Steffy’s husband first and she needs to put him out of her mind. Hope can’t do that. Why does Steffy get to decide everything? She’s made mistakes in her lifetime and now she gets to be the boss. “When she came in her earlier, she not only went after me, she went after our family.” Of course, she told her she can’t any relationship with Finn ever again.
In Finn’s office, he suggests Liam go have a conversation with Hope. Liam will do that, but doesn’t want Finn to act like he played no part in this. “This is not the first time Steffy’s had to get away.” Finn’s only concerned with his wife. Liam is also worried about Hope being all over the place… and he’s in the middle of it. He keeps wreaking havoc on Steffy’s life and maybe stepping away for a bit is healthy for her.
In the apartment, Luna explains to Steffy that every man has a blind spot. Bill’s is family. She saw him getting closer to her mom and she asked how they met and when. The timing matched up, so she just started asking if Bill could be her father. She knew eventually that Poppy and Bill would want it to be true too. She knew Bill would want proof, so she had to get prepared. There’s nothing you can’t get on the dark web, including phony paternity tests. She flashes to panicking when her bitchy Aunt Li showed up with her own test, but she was already holding a positive test, so it was just a little switcheroo.
Luna rants that Li always hated her mom and looked down on them, so she finally did something useful for once. Everything was going according to plan… Bill wanted to make her a Spencer! Steffy muses, “You would be set for life.” Luna continues that when Tom crawled out of the woodwork, she had to take extreme measures to shut him up. Steffy growls, “Extreme measures like murder.” Luna nods.
In Finn’s office, he tells Liam he won’t be judged by him. Liam sees the pattern. Steffy gives him another chance and he lets her down again. Finn didn’t betray her. He told Hope never to do it again and went straight to his wife. Liam guesses he assured her that everything was OK and he’d take care of it. He complains that it’s the same language he used when it came to Sheila. Finn wishes she hadn’t left because he can’t help but worry about her and where she could be.
In the apartment, Steffy tells Luna she had a future at Forrester and was dating RJ. Luna muses that he was sweet… the crown prince of Forrester Creations, but Bill has an empire. Nobody could give her the life that he could. She saw an opportunity… until Tom showed up. She’s been reading his letters for years. Luna would never let him claim her as his own. She was mortified when she found out he was working at Il Giardino because she knew what he wanted. “I had to stop him.” Luna flashes to drugging Tom’s drink.
Steffy asks, “But what about Hollis?” Luna says, “Collateral damage.” He found the letters and wanted to tell everybody. “He was so proud of himself for solving the big mystery.” She flashes to thanking Hollis and then drugging his drink after sending him on a phony mission to find Deacon. She recalls Hollis returning and downing the drink that soon killed him. Hollis realized the truth before dying on the ground with Luna looking down at him. Steffy marvels, “You walked away. You let Hollis die?” Luna says he should have stayed out of it. Steffy warns she won’t get away with this. Luna says she will. No one’s going to stop her, especially Steffy. Steffy tells her she’s not going to do a damn thing to her. Luna leaves with a smile on her face as Steffy yells and screams, “You’re not going to get away with this!”
