Dr. Mark Greene’s Shocking Revenge: Was Chad DiMera the Mastermind Behind His Parents’ Death?
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that the cat is finally out of the bag! For some time, the mystery woman (AnnaLynne McCord) – who has been posing as Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller) – was talking to an unknown caller about a “plan”. Said partner in crime was revealed to be Dr. Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson).
Not exactly what fans were expecting! In addition, viewers learned that the woman isn’t Abby and that Dr. Mark switched her DNA results to ensure she was genetically connected to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).
Now the big question mark for Days viewers is why.
Overall, Dr. Mark doesn’t seem like a bad guy – other than the fact that he’s hired a woman to pretend to be Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) dead wife.
Then again, in the land of soaps, the nice guys are always the ones you have to take a closer look at.
Still, Mark’s siblings, Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia) and Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) seem like pretty good kids.
Here’s what fans know about the family: they currently consist of three siblings, with Felicity being super sweet and Aaron being a top-notch friend.
No red flags, other than the fact that their parents are dead, and Dr. Mark has become his younger siblings’ caretaker.
That’s a ton of emotional and financial responsibility to take on, even for a young and handsome doctor.
Digging into the DOOL history books, while Chad is a stand-up guy now, he wasn’t always like this.
In his younger years, when he first entered the land of Salem, he had a major issue with drugs. In fact, his parents sent him to military school to straighten him out.
What if Chad did something during his younger years that caused the Greene parents’ death?
The timelines may not add up, considering Aaron and Felicity’s ages, but then again, anything is possible in the land of Salem.
After all, if fans go by a straight timeline, Tate Black (Leo Howard) shouldn’t be a teen … he should only be 11 years old!
Maybe Chad’s hidden the fact that he got high and was involved in a car crash? Maybe he’s blacked the memory out.
Perhaps he sold drugs to someone who eventually passed the pills on to Dr. Mark’s mom or dad resulting in their death.
Regardless, there’s a good chance Dr. Mark is seeking revenge on Chad for something of this nature, especially since he’s now stuck raising his siblings (and likely living a lonely life doing so as he has so much on his plate).
It’s hard to say if Clyde Weston (James Read) fits into any of this, or if Mark has the “real” Abigail hidden somewhere just to torment Chad and Abby; however, Days fans will likely learn more about this storyline and both Mark and the mystery woman’s intentions as the weeks go by.
Days of Our Lives spoilers note there are more plot twists on the horizon for this storyline, so fans need to stay glued to their daytime screens to see what happens next!
