Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Xander’s Mom Has An Unexpected Rival In Salem, A HUGE Clash Loading!
There is not one shred of doubt that Salem thrives on drama, and Days of Our Lives Spoilers tease that the upcoming weeks will bring that in by the tonne. We know that Xander and Sarah’s wedding is coming up soon. Thus, Bonnie Kiriakis took the liberty to send out a wedding invitation to Xander’s mom – Fiona Cook.
Previously, on DOOL, Xander has painted quite a picture of his drunken and detached mother. Perhaps, that hole in his heart is exactly what brought him so close to his ex and future mother-in-law Maggie KIriakis. Even in a recent chat with Soaps.com, actor Paul Telfer reminded everyone how much Maggie loves him despite his past flaws.
He also took the opportunity to remind everyone that even though Xander did many bad things in the past, he did save Maggie’s life. Back in the day, when Maggie believed that she killed Adrienne in that car crash drunk driving and wanted to kill herself in jail, Xandy saved her. Paul believes that his relationship with Maggie goes back to the beginning of Sarah & Xander.
The Days star recalls that the first time he ever opened up about his vulnerabilities to Maggie was during the time when she was going through her relapse with alcohol and “I had one of my first real tender scenes ever on the show.”
Paul Telfer remembers that it was the first time he spoke about “my traumatic childhood, my alcoholic mother and all that. That’s when he opened himself up to Maggie for the first time, which is the other major relationship that Xander’s got.” Thus, we can rest assured that the bond Xander and Maggie share is irreplaceable and unbreakable.
Something that his own mother severely lacks with him. Hence, we can’t help but wonder what will happen when Fiona does arrive in Salem. It is not like Xander would welcome her in his life with open arms. Moreover, when she sees him having that mother-son relationship with Maggie, she is definitely going to be jealous and insecure.
Will this end up sparking a war between the two women? And if it does, who will Xander stand beside?
