Thus, the DOOL fandom was hit by a wrecking ball when news broke out that the soap let the actor go. Reports suggest that his firing was kept well under wraps for months and that his exit episode is set to air next week.

In a recent chat with Soaps.com, Brandon Barash confirmed that he has been fired from the soap. He also admitted that the news came absolutely out of nowhere and really hit him hard. The popular soap star described the huge blow as a “gut punch” as the makers are making him leave the soap in the middle of his contract.

Days of Our Lives spoilers point out that currently, Stefan DiMera is trying to make his relationship with Gabi work. In the recent episode, he was ready to fight for her. Unfortunately, towards the end of the October 25, 2024, episode, he was attacked by a masked assailant, and seemingly drugged.

The installment ended on a cliffhanger, thus, it is hard to say if Stefan just passed out due to the drug or lost his life. We will have to wait till Monday to find out more about his fate. As for the actor, he isn’t very positive about making a comeback to the Peacock soap. This is not the first time that the actor has been booted from the soap.
