General Hospital Comings & Goings: Shocking Recasts, New Faces Arrive, and a Prodigal Son Makes a Stunning Return!

What casting changes occurred during the week of August 19-23? Time to dive right in!
GH Spoilers: Lucky Spencer Is Officially Back!
GH spoilers suggest it was a massive week for returns as fans saw some of their favorite recurring characters back on the canvas.
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is a fine example of this, reappearing on Monday, August 19’s show, as well as Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) who was looking for a job and last seen on the show in March 2023.
Then Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) appeared at Irene Marie Ashford’s funeral later on in the week, much to the surprise of his daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), and the big comeback occurred during the Friday, August 23 episode when Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) revealed he was in quite a sticky situation!
GH Spoilers: New (& Not-So-New) Faces Enter The Land Of Port Charles
GH spoilers note that fans were buzzing during the week of August 19-23 when Debbie Matenopoulous, former co-host of Home & Family, as well as The View, stepped into the role of Home & Heart producer.
Matenopoulous had scenes with a number of Deception ladies, and as the gang is known to go to those studios now and again, will viewers see Debbie in the land of PC once again? Only time will tell!
GH audience also saw Amor Owens play FBI Agent Boyle, and as everyone learned that Lulu Spencer’s (last played by Emme Rylan) health has taken a terrible turn, Dr. Kitsen, played by Ansuya Nathan, and Dr. Conlon, played by Lincoln Hoppe entered the equation.
Actress Lindsay Hartley has been known to sub in for Kelly Monaco to play Sam McCall in the past. She stepped in during the Friday, August 23rd episode, as Sam was there for Molly and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) during Irene Marie Ashford’s funeral.
The daytime drama vet has been recast in the Sam role multiple times, joining the GH cast in August 2020, February 2022, and January 2024.
