General Hospital Bombshell: Kelly Monaco Reveals Michael Easton’s Profound Influence – “He’s Always Held the Number One Spot in My Heart!

General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco Talks Michael Easton’s Impact On Her Daytime Career, “Holds The Number One Spot In My Heart”

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that there’s been a flurry of activity on the internet where Kelly Monaco is concerned.

Since the announcement of the actress’ (and her character, Sam McCall’s) exit, which will happen on the canvas sometime this fall, fans have been buzzing online.

Monaco and her camp have added fuel to the fire with social media posts and comments, as well.

The first shoe dropped on Sunday, September 15 when Monaco posted a photo of her and the late Billy Miller on Instagram.

She was paying tribute to the actor on the first anniversary of his passing and vowed that she would soon tell “their side of the story”.

Then, on Friday, September 27, Monaco’s mom, Carmina Monaco, hopped on X (formerly known as Twitter) to offer fans a “thank you” for supporting her daughter and giving them a heads up that the actress had filmed her last scenes with the soap.

Then, on Tuesday, October 1, ironically the same day Monaco was celebrating her 21-year debut on GH as the iconic Sam McCall, Kelly commented on a Soap Hub Instagram post.

The handle was profiling an article about Days of Our Lives star, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) offering Kelly his support.

Monaco replied on a thread to another IG users’ comment, who implied, she was fired because she didn’t take a pay cut.

In her comment, Monaco goes to great lengths to talk about ‘retaliation’ and how Sam’s storyline came to halt in 2018 after Billy Miller was fired.

She promised to make a “proper statement” and how the “truth will set you free”.

The comment on that Soap Hub IG post has since been deleted.

Some hours later, Kelly took the opportunity to comment on an IG post of fellow ex-GHer, Michael Easton.

Fans may recall that Easton not only played Dr. Hamilton Finn on the soap, but also reprised his John Bain character from One Life to Life at one point.

Back, many moons ago, Easton also played vampire Caleb Morley on GH’s sister show, Port Charles. In fact, he and Monaco’s character, Livvie Locke shared a romance.

Back to Easton’s post, in the evening of Tuesday, October 1, the actor jumped on IG and uploaded an old video from his time on OLTL.

Interestingly enough, it was clip from when he first debuted and John Bain entered the land of Llanview.

In a fun flurry of nostalgia, the video not only featured a young Bain (Easton), but Trevor St. John (OLTL’s Todd Manning), Melissa Archer (OLTL’s Natalie Buchanan), and David Fumero (OLTL’s Cristian Vega) were also in the clip.

In the over 600 comments, one can be found from Monaco, who states that Caleb (from Port Charles) will forever hold the number one spot in her heart, and Bain is a close second.

Her lengthy comment states that Easton was her first daytime drama co-star 25 yrs ago, and she cherishes their memories together.

Monaco also acknowledges that she is “forever” indebted to him for leading, teaching, and guiding her through all her soapy “firsts”.

Kelly also talks about her 21-year milestone in the comment, adding that she could’ve never gotten here without Easton’s patience and dedication.

Michael Easton took the time to reply to his former GH and Port Charles leading lady, thanking Monaco for her kind words.

He, too, goes to in great lengths within his comment, noting how amazing it was to work with Kelly.

He closed his reply to Monaco on his IG post by thanking her for sharing her “… beautiful spirit with the world”.

General Hospital spoilers predict a grime fate for Sam McCall, and if Carmina Monaco’s timeline around Kelly’s last filming is spot on, fans should finally find out what happens to this character sometime in late October, early November.

Still, will GH viewers get the full story on the reason behind Monaco’s exit at that time, too? We will all have to wait and see.
