Young & Restless’ Michelle Stafford Teases Phyllis’ Upcoming Story — and Even Her Co-worker Is Intrigued

Young & Restless’ Phyllis is in need of a story to call her own, and she just might be getting it. Michelle Stafford took to social media to tease her alter-ego’s next move, and the post left one of her co-workers and a Bold & Beautiful star intrigued by the tantalizing tidbit.
Phyllis appears to be ready to get up to some of her old tricks and, frankly, we couldn’t be happier. A well-behaved Phyllis is a boring Phyllis, and that should never be a thing on Young & Restless.
Of course, we understood the need to lay low after faking her death and alienating her offspring, but how refreshing has it been to see her quizzing Nick about Sharon’s quirky behavior or jumping on Summer’s anti-Audra bandwagon?
Speaking of Audra, Phyllis told Summer they need to get rid of her. Yup, viewers could see the old wheels a turnin’ in Red’s beautiful head as she settled back into the old schemer saddle to plot how to handle the interloper and ride to her daughter’s rescue. Might Phyllis be about to make a move against the new co-CEO of Glissade? Perhaps this is what she’s referring to in her fun but cryptic social media tease.
But Phyllis has also been spending time with Nick and observing the disturbing changes in Sharon first-hand. Stafford told her followers, “I think you’re going to like what’s coming,” which could mean a Phyllis and Nick hook-up. In fact, one fan commented, “If Phyllis and Nick are together again it’s going to be awesome.” Boy, would that set off Sharon in her current state!
Her post could have been referring to another upcoming interaction with Sharon, but if it is, it’s not likely to be a congenial one given the emoticons she used.
Phyllis will deffo be up to her old tricks in some respect as indicated by the three clown emoticons that Stafford used to punctuate her remarks. The post, which showed her leaving the CBS studios after the week’s filming was in the can, was short but effective, and even left her co-star, Lily Brooks O’Briant (Lucy) intrigued, as she dropped an astonished face in the comments. Perhaps she’s in on the tease, and perhaps not.
Bold & Beautiful star Ashley Jones (Bridget), who once played Young & Restless’ Megan Dennison Vicardi, also got in on the action, commenting, “Hmmmm,” along with three fire emojis. Who doesn’t love a good tease?! See the post for yourself below.
